Two of the biggest names in satellite radio today, XM and Sirius, both offer a wide range of music stations that you never hear on regular commercial radio. Both Sirius and XM charge a service fee to listen to their music channels - someone has to pay for these satellites! So what is the difference between XM and Sirius? First of all, Sirius and XM offer the same service to commercial free music on the air via satellite. Sirius offers 120 channels, or streams, music, sports, and entertainment programming. For this service, the cost of housing Sirius monthly subscription fee of $ 12.95 for residents of the continental United States. XM currently charges, on the other hand, has 122 channels of similar content (68 of them are music channels), and a load slightly smaller monthly fee: $ 9.95. Pretty cool.So mean that Sirius is better? Well, it depends. XM has something clean, like a bouquet of fresh flowers of XM Satellite Radio receivers and displays. They also have the largest distribution network at present and are probably more likely to expand services significantly in the near future.
